Journal 12

Today I used an online tool called Urfooz. This application allows users to create an comical avatar of themselves.

By using this tool I was able to create my own personalize avatar. This internet application allowed me to select certain characteristics to form my avatar such as body shape, clothing and other personal features.

This program is user friendly and takes seconds to have your avatar up and running. Here is one I create earlier.

~Planning Wiz~

Journal 11

Today I used an online application called Planning Wiz. This application allows users to plan out a 3D version plan of what their house or room may look like.

By using this tool it allowed me to create a 3D version of my room from a birds eye perspective. When using this program it was very easy to navigate and apply the pieces furniture onto my floor plan. Another aspect of this application that helped me greatly when designing my room was the pin point measurements of all the furniture. These measurements would come in handy when wanting to design a room accurately to proportion.

~Big Huge Lab~

Journal 10

Today I used an internet based program called Big Huge Lab. This internet program allows you to add cool features to already existing pictures. For example a mosaic and puzzle.

My task today was to create a mosaic and a puzzle. When using this program it was very easy as you only had to upload the pictures that you wanted to add these features to. This program is user friendly and only takes a few seconds to complete. The program was very easy to use and fun to work with.

~Wordle~

Journal 9

Today I used a program callled Wordle. This internet application allows users to type in a range of words. The application will then produce a cloud image from those words. This program also adds colour and textures to the words creating a fun and exiting image.

This program is user friend and requires minimal time to create your image. It is easy to use and only requires a few clicks. http://www.wordle.com/ Here is an image I created earlier.

~Prezi~

Journal 8

Today I used a program called Prezi. It allowed me to add a variety of picture on a particular topic. To complete this task I had to use a tutorial describing the key feature of using this program Prezi.

After finishing my design layout I was then told to embed it to my blog. Although during this process I was unsuccessful as the only thing you could see was a plain white screen. One feature of Prezi that I found difficult was determining the size of the pictures and texts.

I would still reccommend this program to others as it allows users to quickly produce an online poster using easy already created features. http://www.prezi.com/

~Blogger slideshow~

Today I experimented with a web base tool that allowed me to embed a slide show of my favourite anime. This task was very easy as a search engine found all the images that were used in the slide show and only minimal programing was needed.

~Macromedia Fireworks~

Hey guys,
Today I use the program Macromedia Flash to produce my images of some cool fruit people. I took pictures of some fruits and added life like features to them using other fruits.

When I had finished the 12-15 images of fruit people I then used Google “Picasa” to upload the photos for free for public viewing. http://www.picasaweb.google.com/

This cool online program allows me to upload up to 1 gigabyte of photos to share with the public as well as friends and families. It is user friendly and does not require much work when uploading the photos.

During my time at using both Macromedia Fireworks and Google “Picasa” I have found there is a variety of tools and programs out there that people can use to share their photos. Although there are so many programs out there to choose from I believe its best to have a small knowledge and experience at all of them. As it is better to know how to do things using multiple programs rather than just using one program over and over again.

~Adobe Flash CS3 Professional~

Journal 5

Today I used the program Adobe Flash CS3 Professional to create a small m0ving car animation. To help us complete this flash movie I used a small tutorial from the following website. http://www.baycongroup.com/flash/01_flash_5_tutorial.htm

After I had completed my flash aniamtion we were then asked to make one of our own changing the car and the buildings in the animation. Through this task I have learnt the basic components of using the Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and how to follow some basic program tutorials.

Anyone wanting a website that enables you to create your own with minimal effort then Wix is for you. http://www.wix.com/

This website allows you to make websites from already premade layouts as well as allowing users to add their own special touch. Through this website users will also be able to add special effects, videos, pictures, widgets and many other useful items to their web page.

During my time using Wix I have discovered that presentation and detail is very important when working with a visual project. Other sources such as videos and pictures may also be used to give your audience a clearer message on what you are trying to communicate. By using Wix I have gained more knowledge in the Website Designing department as I now know what most web designers go through.

This awesome websites allows you to upload your favorite pictures and form it into a short film. This web application also enable users to add their favorite music as well as add special effect.

From this website Animoto I have learnt the importance of pictures and how it communicates to viewers. Music in these short films are also important as they set the mood of the presentation. These skills will likely help me as I may pursue a career in IT.

~Go Animate~

Hi everyone its me again =]
My recent discovery of a website called Go Animate has been the highlight of this week. This website was great, it allowed me to create my own cartoon movies with already created characters, backgrounds, music and even scene techniques. For example zoom ins and fade outs. This website had everything that a young talented movie producer would want. Through this website it would allow you to express your imagination and creative ideas as well as edit your movies to your interest.

During my trial with Go Animate I have gain a slight knowledge into what a producer is faced with when editing a film as well as the camera angles needed to entice his/her viewers. By using this website Go Animate I have gained more experience in making animation movies and have acquired many skills. These skills include knowing when to use camera angles to create emotion from viewers as well as learning that the facial emotion on characters is an importing key when communicating with the audience.These skills will forever live with me as I pursue my studies in subjects like IT.

Journal 1

Hi everyone!!!!
My recent experience with Flickr was awesome. This site allows you to post your favourite pictures and videos sharing them withfamily and friends.

My first postings on Flickr was that I cut out sandcastles and pasted them on different backgrounds using Photoshop. I found this task quite easy as I have had past experiences with Photoshop and are quite familiar with the tools availible.

After I finished editing all the picturers I quickly uploaded all of the pictures to Flickr. Without the Flikr guild this process would of taken much longer.

Through this task i have learnt how to use the website Flickr as well as improve my skills in Photoshop.
